The Greater Manchester Law Centre offer free legal advice on a wide variety of subjects, including housing and employment.
Greater Manchester Immigration Aid Unit (GMIAU):

GMAIU focuses on immigration, and provides free legal advice, representation and support services to people seeking asylum, refugees, children and vulnerable adults.

Acas: For help, advice and dispute resolution for both employers and employees you can contact Acas on their Helpline 0300 123 1100.
They are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
If you have a hearing or speech impairment, you can contact them using Relay UK (this used to be called the ‘text relay’ service): 18001 0300 123 1100.
If you (or someone you’re calling on behalf of) speak another language, call the helpline and they’ll provide an interpreter.

Age UK can help with money issues- including benefit queries, health, social care issues and housing and transport queries. You can book appointments for help filling in forms and understanding documents. Information and advice is free, private and confidential and if they can’t help, they will put you in touch with people who can.

Manchester Macmillan Benefits Adviser:
This organisation provides help with checking you are receiving the correct income – Applying for social security benefits & tax credits – Appealing against benefit decisions – Issues with your benefit claims such as overpayments – Health costs, such as prescriptions and travel to hospital – Accessing charitable grants – Applying for housing and council tax benefit – Help with means tested and non-means tested benefits (benefits for carers) and disability benefits – Help to complete forms and apply for benefits – Advise on arrears which may have accrued for rent, council tax, fuel etc – Explain statutory sick pay and employment pay entitlements – Make referrals for independent financial advice – Help with Blue Badge applications.
