If you’re struggling with your mental health or worried about someone else, it’s important to know that help is available. You don’t have to face things alone — there are people ready to listen and support you, 24 hours a day.
If You’re in Immediate Danger
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or if you have seriously harmed yourself, call 999 straight away.
Urgent Mental Health Support
If you need urgent mental health help — for example, if you feel unsafe, distressed, or unable to cope — you can Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option (2). This service is free, available 24/7, and can be used for yourself or someone you’re worried about.
Helplines and Listening Services
There are many helplines offering free, confidential support from trained listeners. You can talk for as long as you need — they won’t judge you, and they can help you find the right support.

Crisis Cafés and Listening Lounges are safe, welcoming spaces for anyone aged 18 or over who is feeling low, anxious, or struggling with negative thoughts. These community spaces are open evenings and weekends, offering:
