This year has been difficult for all of us, but particularly for young people. I was therefore delighted to launch my Christmas card competition to give children from primary schools across Manchester Gorton the opportunity to get creative and spread some festive cheer! I received hundreds of wonderful entries which made choosing just one winner very difficult, however Rehan’s card with it’s message of ‘Peace to All’ really stood out.
I was delighted to visit Rehan at St. Richard’s Primary School last week to present him with his certificate and prize, as well as a Parliamentary shield for the school. I’d also like to congratulate this year’s runners up – Zak from Rodney House School and Fabienne from Cringle Brook Primary School – who also received certificates and prizes. The rest of the entries from this year are decorating my constituency office, making it look very festive! The card has been sent out to fellow MPs, church’s, schools, community groups, and others, across Manchester Gorton.
I’d like to thank all the schools who took part as well as Your UK Pharmacy for their kind support in sponsoring the production of the card.
