As Shadow Exports Minister, it was an honour to speak at the British Chamber of Commerce International Trade Reception in Parliament. In my role, I’ve spoken to a number of exporting businesses and all the say the same thing: they feel abandoned by the Government, excluded from conversations, and unable to get the information and support they need.

I also had the opportunity to visit the Port of Immingham. With 17% of all UK trade passing through Humber ports, it’s clear Immingham and ports around the UK need a bold trade strategy to thrive. Labour is the only pro-business, pro-trade and pro-worker party that can deliver this.
