I was delighted to attend the official ribbon cutting ceremony to formally open Debdale Nature Centre in Debdale Park, ahead of the public open day.

I was joined by our MYP Alex Kennedy, as well as local councillors and centre volunteers. Gorton is so lucky to have not only the beautiful Debdale Park, but also an enthusiastic and innovative group of volunteers like the Friends of Debdale Park, who are committed to their local green spaces.

It was a privilege to help open the new nature centre and I look forward to seeing it grow and develop as an important hub for the community to interact with our natural world.
