I joined members of Unite the Union North West and Unite Community along with ordinary supporters outside the RBS head office in Manchester in protest against the planned closure of 64 branches across the North West. These closures damage our high streets and our communities, taking away jobs and preventing customers from being able to access basic banking services.
The next Labour government will tighten up laws to make sure banks in Manchester Gorton will continue to provide an essential local public service. Only Labour has the policies we need to put workers and small businesses in the UK first.
