This month, Parliament celebrated the centenary of the Representation of People Act 1918, which granted some women the right to vote for the first time. We still have some way to go before our Parliament is fully representative and marking this centenary both highlights the progress we have made thus far as well as the distance we still have to travel, but I’m proud to be part of a Parliament with a record number of female MP’s.
