Hatred and prejudice have no place in our society. Throughout my career, I have campaigned on tackling Islamophobia, repairing community cohesion, and improving outcomes for British Muslims. With hate crimes against Muslims rising, we must ensure the Government is doing all it can to combat Islamophobia and ensure Muslim communities feel safe and supported.

- I asked the Deputy Prime Minister the steps she is taking to tackle Islamophobia.
- I hosted an event to launch the Runnymede Trust’s Islamophobia report – ‘Islamophobia: the intensification of racism against Muslim Communities in the UK’.
- It was an honour to be voted as the Patchwork Foundation’s Labour MP of the year, partly due to my ongoing work on tackling Islamophobia.
- In a debate on Violence Against Women and Girls, I raised the unique challenges faced by Muslim women.

- In the constituency, I joined up with Hope Not Hate to host a session on tackling Islamophobia and improving community cohesion.
