Rail services in Manchester and across the North are poor and have been neglected of investment by this Tory government. Many of my constituents have written to me about delays, increasing prices, and generally poor service, particularly at Levenshulme station. Appallingly, this station also has no disabled access.
I raised this issue with the minister last week during transport questions and while his response was less than satisfactory, I will continue to press for improved railway services in our local area and across the country. You can watch my question here. I have also written to the rail minister to follow up on my question and ensure that steps are being taken to address these issues.
