This committee, together with the Council, discusses, amends, and adopts the EU budget.
Labour MEPs want to see real budget reform in the EU. Instead of seeing it increased, we want to channel more of it towards investment for growth and jobs.
It is important that ‘added value’ is placed at the centre of the EU budget decision making and we, therefore, want to see areas that do not bring real benefit to our constituents cut out.
